Day 1 - A Scenic Start in Tuscany

Your retreat officially begins at Chiusi-Chianciano Terme station, conveniently located less than two hours by train from Rome and Florence. Your private driver will be anticipating your arrival, which means before you know it, you’ll be rolling through the hills of Tuscany onboard a comfortable van.

Forty minutes later, your idyllic home for two nights comes into view—Podere Val d'Orcia. This 650-year-old stone farmhouse has been transformed into an enchanting sustainable resort, complete with a panoramic pool, working farm, luxurious spa, and other amenities waiting to be discovered. But first, celebrate your arrival with a refreshing welcome drink and take a moment to unpack and unwind in your spacious suite.

Day 1 - Private Spa Session

Now that you’ve settled in, it’s time to indulge yourself with ultimate relaxation at the resort’s spa. With a private session booked in, you’re free to enjoy the spa’s amenities at your leisure, each designed to recharge your body and mind. 

Perhaps you’ll kick things off with a Finnish sauna, featuring panoramic views of the countryside, then hop into the Turkish bath to detoxify and further relax. You’ll also find the whirlpool tub perfect for soothing any remaining stress while the relaxation area, complete with complimentary herbal tea, further calms your mind and sets you up perfectly for the restorative moments ahead. 

Day 2 - Fine Dining at the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Restaurant

After your spa time, you’ll have free time to relax, whether in the comfort of your suite or exploring more of Podere Val d'Orcia’s serene grounds. This is your time to soak in the tranquil atmosphere, but keep an eye on the clock, as soon, it’ll be time to head to Ristorante Extravergine for a superb four-course dinner. 

This isn’t just any meal, either. Crafted from organic ingredients grown onsite, you’ll be treated to a true farm-to-table dinner that introduces you to the rich flavors of Tuscany. The exact dishes change with the season, but the star of the show is always the estate's very own IGP Extra Virgin Olive Oil, drizzled over the incredible handmade pasta, breads, and grilled meats you’ll be enjoying. That’s not to mention the aperitif you’ll be treated to before dinner, and the two glasses of wine (per couple) sourced from the surrounding region. 

Day 2 - Olive Oil & Wine Tasting

As the sun rises over the rolling hills of Tuscany, you'll wake up to another day filled with culinary delights and immersive experiences. There’s no hurry to get out of bed, so take a moment to listen to the birds singing and soft breezes rustling through the olive trees before wandering down for a farm-to-table breakfast.  With local fruits, just-baked pastries, and other seasonal dishes, it’s the perfect way to fuel up for the day. 

Next up is an olive oil and wine-tasting session, starting with a brief introduction to how quality olive oil is made and how to distinguish it from lesser varieties. From there, you’ll sample a selection of wines from nearby vineyards, paired with a light lunch of meats, cheeses, and other farm-fresh ingredients. 

Day 2 - Free Afternoon & Dinner

With the afternoon all yours, feel free to take a peaceful stroll around the estate or kick back in your room with a good book. Either way, you’ll want to save some energy for dinner because Tuscany’s culinary magic strikes again tonight at the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Restaurant. 

As the sun sets, it’s time for another four-course dinner featuring the estate’s organic ingredients. Once again, you’ll enjoy dishes like fresh pasta and grilled meats, accompanied by wine and cooked to perfection by the estate’s private chef. When you’ve had your fill, head out to the terrace for a glass of wine under the stars. 

Day 3 - Breakfast and Return to Chiusi Train Station

As your unforgettable Tuscan getaway draws to a close, start your final day with another farm-fresh breakfast at Podere Val d'Orcia. Feel free to linger to savor the last moments at this picturesque estate, or perhaps enjoy another lazy stroll, as before long, it’s time to pack your bags and transfer back to the Chiusi train station.
